Taylor

Taylor is a high-vibing, super-food imbibing yoga teacher, holistic nutrionist and colon hydrotherapist.  Between blissful bouts of healing and leading, you can find the urban goddess writing, traveling, creating great grand art projects, makin xocolati and mischief, and drinking tea.  Guided by the clear intention of feeling and embodying more vibrancy, joy & clarity in her every moment, Taylor's ever-unfolding eightfold path has led her to the very forefront of the wellness movement, guiding others towards their own expression of their highest potential by way of this exciting paradigm.

Taylor stepped onto the path of Yoga in 2001 as part of her own healing journey trailing her father’s stroke. She sought refuge in what she thought would be a bit of light stretching and breathing, and ended up finding her destiny. The dynamic movement of vinyasa flow, combined with intentional breathing, instilled in Taylor a bourgeoning passion, and a focused clarity about her life’s purpose. She immediately traded her running shoes for a Manduka mat, and dedicated herself to a daily practice of yoga and meditation that has since changed her life beyond her own wildest dreams.

After earning a BA in Video Production at the Atlanta College of Art in 2004, Taylor opted for an alternate route: she attended The Institute for Integrative Nutrition affiliated with the Teachers College of Columbia University in New York City, and completed the program in 2007.  While there, Taylor not only gleaned an expansive breadth of knowledge about herself, she learned how to work with others as a holistic nutritionist, which illuminated, on a macrocosmic level, the immediate need to switch up humanity’s current lifestyle habits. She currently works with individuals and groups, counseling them on what they take into their body as nutrition, as well as what they are taking into themselves on spiritual and emotional levels. Together, it all comprises what Taylor calls Primary Food .

As Taylor has been studying dance and gymnastics since she was five, the physical practice of yoga asana was a natural progression. The deeper she immersed herself in her yoga studies, the further down the rabbit hole the secrets hidden therein beckoned her. Seeking further meaning behind her practice, she took her first 200-hour training in 2008 with Christine Burke, Will Duprey, Stephen Espinosa and Jill Miller. She knew from then on that her path was to not only BE a yogi, but to be a teacher of YOGA. She started teaching in Los Angeles, and went on to take YogaWorks 300-hour teacher training course in 2009, studying under Jeanne Heileman, Lisa Walford, Annie Carpenter, Paul Cabanis and Simi Cruz. She is currently completing ParaYoga’s Master teacher training with Rod Stryker, and is humbled, daily, by the wisdom of Stryker’s teachings. She is now a 500-level certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance.

Taylor offers her students the opportunity to work deep and strong on a physical level, while combining an integrated spiritual and psychological component to the practice. Her classes focus on energy-altering and enhancing asana, alignment, mantra, visualization, pranayama, consciousness expansion, and mastering and moving Prana,. She is fluent in the practices of Ashtanga Yoga, Tantra, Kundalini, YogaWorks and Hatha Yoga. She is drawn to yoga for its powerful ability to heal the body and expand the consciousness so our higher selves can be ever and always more present, and more empowered.

Taylor is an I-ACT certified Colon Hydrotherapist. Armed with the knowledge that all disease comes from the colon, Taylor supports her clients in cleansing the body internally, such that they can strengthen their yoga practices, and more easily assimilate the healthy foods they choose to eat. Her colonics specifically target the energy meridians, which offers the simultaneous experience of emotional and physical cleansing, further supporting her clients in embodying their most vibrant ever selves in highest service to us all.
